I have 6 horses & 2 dogs all have their own different issues. Helen   has   helped   3   of   my   horses   &   1   of   my   dogs   using   Bowen   Therapy   & Homeopathic Remedies. My   dog   Jedda   &   my   Horse   Josh   have   nervous   and   anxiety   issues.   They   are scared   of   thunder   &   fireworks   and   any      loud   noises.   Helen   recommended giving them an essence remedy which has helped them deal with their issues. Helen   also   used   Bowen   Therapy   on   my   three   horses,   Josh,   Chloe   &   Moscow.     Moscow   has   had   recurring   problems   with   stifle   lock   &   chronic   arthritis.   He was having difficulties just walking from A to B and was very depressed. Helen   used   Bowen   &   Homeopathic   remedies   on   him   and   he   is   doing   great   now walking   nicely   once   again.      Chloe   had   a   pinched   nerve   down   the   back   of   her leg   &   always   seemed   to   collapse.   She   also   had   Bowen   Therapy   and      after   a couple of treatments she  improved and is also doing well now.  Josh   had   a   few   problems      both   with   his   stifle   and   a      recurring   sore   back.      Helen   worked   on   Josh   3   or   4   times   and   Josh   has   not   had   a problem   since.   We   also   looked   at   a   proper   saddle   to   enable   me   to   ride   him   once   again   as   he   had   improved   so   much.   Keep   up   the   good work   Helen   thanks   for   everything   you   have   done.   You   have   been   my   life   saver   for   my   animals.   I   was   at   the   end   of   my   rope      and   didn't know what to do… then I found Helen thank you so much for all your help.                                                                                                           Sam King, Silverdale , NSW
Ned   as   we   call   him   was   an   ex   race   horse   that   did   not   have   the   speed   at   the   track.   When   we   got   him, he   was   quite   edgy   and   very   sore   through   the   back   and   hindquarters   in   particular.   He   had   passed through   a   number   of   people   before   he   arrived      with   us,   so   we   were   never   really   sure   what   he   may   have experienced or what problems he really had.  We   asked   Helen   to   assess   him   and   see   if   there   was   a   chance   to   improve   his   behaviour   and   health. Helen   recommended   essences   to   help   with   his   adjustment   to   the   change   in   his   role   and   circumstances. She   also   identified   key   pain   points   and   stress   patterns   in   his   body   using   Bowen   and   Kinesiology   and after   3-4   treatments,   Ned   certainly   improved.      Helen   also   suggested   some   Arnica,   a   homoeopathic remedy   to   help   with   recovery   from   muscle   soreness   and   pain.      She   also   showed   us   some   stretching   and acupressure   techniques   to   help   with   overall   flexibility   and   wellbeing.   With   the   reduction   in   soreness and   the   use   of   the   essences,   Ned’s   anxiety   reduced   and   he   was   much   more   trusting   in   our   day   to   day handling of him.  Today   some   months   on,   Ned   is   a   different   horse;   he   looks   well,   is   more   engaging   and   has   a   new   interest in life! We have a new found appreciation for the use of natural and holistic therapies. Thank you Helen.  K. Baker - Southern Highlands, NSW
Romy   has   been   treated   and   managed   by   Helen   for   about   a   year   now   with   Bowen Therapy.   He   previously   suffered   severe   back   and   neck   soreness   even   though   the saddle had been fitted and he had regular chiropractic sessions. Bowen   Therapy   has   meant   that   we   have   been   able   to   continue   to   enjoy   riding him   ,   knowing   that   he   is   pain   free   thus   allowing   my   13yr   old   daughter   to   learn and   compete   at   a   high   level   in   dressage.   Before   we   started   the   Bowen   Therapy we   were   about   to   retire   him   as   we   just   could   not   get   him   right   no   matter   what we tried. Helen’s   intuitiveness   with   Romy   allows   her   to   understand   what   it   is   he   requires   in a   treatment.   Recently   he   has   been   on   flower   essence   remedies   to   help   with   his anxious   nature   and   within   a   couple   of   days   my   daughters   and   I   had   noticed   a calmer   sweeter   horse.      We   also   have   4   other   horses   that   we   compete   with   in dressage   and   through   the   use   of   Bowen   Therapy   and      Homeopathy   and   even Kinesiology   ,   we   have   been   able   to   see   sustained   improvements   in   our   horses health and performance. Thank you so much Helen.   Rachelle Evans , Glenorie NSW
Molly   was   running   around   the   paddock   one   day   with   my   other   2   horses   and   had an   accident   where   she   damaged   the   muscles   that   hold   the   shoulder   to   the   body as   well   as   the   nerve   to   that   area.   When   it   first   happened   Molly   could   not   walk   on all   four   legs   she   was   hopping   and   dragging   the   front   leg.   It   looked   at   first   as   if she   had   popped   her   shoulder   out   as   the   swelling   had   hidden   the   collapsed muscle.      I   originally   arranged   for   a   chiropractor   to   see   Molly.   The   chiropractor said   that   her   shoulder   was   a   little   out,   but   the   muscle   tear   and   nerve   paralysis was   the   worse   he   had   ever   seen   and   that   I   should   be   kind   to   her   and   put   her down. At   the   time   I   also   had   a   vet   examine   Molly   and   he   confirmed   that   she   had "sweeny   shoulder"   and   also   believed   it   was   best   to   put   her   down.   He   said   that whilst   she   was   not   in   pain   she   would   never   walk   properly   again   let   alone   trot   or canter.      I   decided   to   look   into   what   sweeny   shoulder   was   and   get   a   second opinion.      Sweeney   shoulder   is   caused   through   a   trauma   to   the   suprascapular nerve that supplies the major muscles around the shoulder. When   this   nerve   is   damaged   which   was   the   case   with   Molly   the   muscles   around   the   shoulder   started   to   waste   away,   so   much   so   that   you could   put   the   whole   of   your   hand   behind   her   shoulder   blade!   Her   movement   was   greatly   impaired.      In   liaising   with   another   vet   he indicated   the   prognosis   was   varied,   but   if   Molly   was   to   improve   she   needed   lots   of   rest   and   time   and   this   may   take   a   few   years.                                 5 months   had   passed   and   Molly   finally   started   to   put   pressure   on   the   leg,   which   was   a   good   sign   however   her   whole   body   was   aching because   of   having   to   compensate.   She   was   sore   and   starting   to   get   cranky,   wanting   to   bit   &   kick.   There   was   still   major   muscle   wastage and I was concerned about what to do next to help Molly.   It   was   at   this   stage   I   heard   about   Helen   and   her   work   with   Bowen   Therapy   and   decided   to   try   this   modality   with   Molly.   Helen   worked with   Molly   over   a   period   of   10months,   treatments   were   fortnightly   in   the   early   stages   but   as   Molly   started   to   improve   the   treatments were   less   frequent.   Molly   was   starting   to   do   her   own   rehabilitation,   she   was   keener   to   move   around   and   engaging   with   the   other horses,   she   was   also   in   less   pain.      Now   18months   after   the   initial   injury,   Molly   is   walking   so   much   better   and   she   is   even   trotting   and cantering,   which   is   so   pleasing   to   see.   Her   condition   has   greatly   improved,   her   muscle   bulk   and   strength   has   improved,   her   demeanour and   outlook   on   life   and   interaction   with   the   other   horses   back   to   normal.   She   is   now   only   recovering   from   a   contracted   heel.   The   vet also believes that I may be able to ride Molly within the next 12months; her improvement has been so amazing.   What   I   have   realised   is   that   natural   therapies   certainly   have   something   to   offer   our   beloved   horses.   I   am   so   glad   that   I   found   Helen   and tried Bowen Therapy and that Molly is an active part of my life once again.   Stacey Bunt, Bringelly NSW
I have known Helen Anderson for probably about 7 years and she has helped various dogs of mine over that time.   My ex-racehorse, Strider, recently became very lame. I suspected that he had slid over in the mud and injured his shoulder. He had a lot of trouble walking back to his stable and could only put a small amount of weight on the inside of his right forehoof.  I asked Helen to come and look at him as soon as possible and, as usual, Helen came over the next day to work on Strider.  Helen found that, not only had he strained his shoulder but his back and neck were also strained.  Poor Strider could hardly move.   Helen worked on Strider for about an hour.  During this time he yawned a lot and sighed and groaned and yawned some more.  After his session Strider could walk out of the stable into his yard.  He looked as surprised as us!   As Helen was going on holidays the next day for a fortnight, Strider didn't have any more sessions but he was so good he didn't need any anyway. Strider made a full recovery within a very short period of time.  I can't speak highly enough of Helen and Bowen Therapy and would recommend Helen (and I have numerous times) to anyone whose horse, dog or cat had any problems.   Josie Kimpton, East Kurrajong NSW
Helen has worked on a number of my horses & I think the work she does is amazing. I live in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, north of Brisbane ; Helen lives in Sydney ; yet my horses have improved as a result of her kinesiology work being done at a distance. My older horse Dallas is now much better in his gait since Helen worked on him—so much so that I have invested in some boots for him so that I can get him out doing more trail rides. Up until then, I felt that he was too sore in the sacrum area to do more than very short walks. But now that I see him galloping around the paddocks again I’ve decided he can get back into some more extended trail rides. My younger horse Finnegan has been traumatised by an incident in the forest which affected him physically, emotionally and mentally. Helen did lots of kinesiology work on him and recommended homeopathic and flower remedies. His knee returned to its normal size and he gradually let go of many of his new found fears. Helen’s work also balanced him physically and I was amazed at how much she picked up that was going on for him physically. A stifle problem has considerably improved. It’s amazing but it works! Henry and Indra have been clients of Animal Equilibrium for four years. Indra   attended   the   Equine   Bowen   Therapy   Essentials   weekend   workshop   in 2012   and   since   then   she   has   kept   Henry   healthy,   flexible,   subtle   and   sound using her new found skills! Says   Indra,   “Henry   loves   his   Bowen,   and   Bowen   Therapy   has   helped   relax Henry and improve his overall movement . Helen   has   treated   Henry   for   4   years   and   now   I   feel   so   pleased   to   be   able   to use   some   of   these   skills   myself.   I   have   a   much   better   feel   for   when   he   is   not right   and   have   Bowen   moves   to   help   correct   the   imbalances,   which   have   been invaluable". Indra Agnitrotri, Schofields NSW
Bambie is a 15yr old warmblood that has arthritis and ongoing hoof issues. Theresa   was   particularly   concerned   for   Bambi   after   a   recent   move   to   a   new agistment   centre   where   she   seemed   worse   in   her   movment   and   her   general demeanour had changed. Theresa   says   “   Helen   gave   Bambie   Bowen Therapy   and   a   number   of   homeopathic remedies   to   help   with   her   arthritis   and   to   help   with   her   hoof   health   and   flower essences   to   help   with   her   adjustment   to   the   new   paddocks.   Over   a   period   of                    6   weeks   and   after   3   Bowen   treatments,   Bambie   is   back   to   her   normal   self.   The arthiritis    remedies    we    have    reduced    and    she    no    longer    takes    the    flower essences. Thanks Helen for your ongoing support with Bambie”  Theresa -  Kemps Creek, NSW
I   just   wanted   to   write   and   thank   you   again   for   running   a   great   Module   1   in Bowen   last   weekend   in   Sydney.      I   tell   all   my   horsey   friends   about   it   and recommend   it   to   them   all!     Andrew   and   I   are   very   keen   to   do   Module   2   -   could you please keep us in the loop if a course is going to run in Sydney?   I   also   wanted   to   share   a   "good   news"   story   with   you   that   has   arisen   from   our practice   of   our   new   skills!      We   have   a   12   year   old   Thoroughbred   mare,   Katey, who   fractured   her   pelvis   in   2007   after   a   bad   fall   in   the   paddock   As   a   result   of the   injury,   Katey   has   adopted   a   gait   that   involves   some   "pulling"   herself   along with   her   front   legs   to   supplement   the   loss   of   power   from   behind,   and   the outcome   of   this   pathological   gait   pattern   is   that   she   tends   to   get   sore   all   over. After   one   treatment   of   Bowen   we   have   already   noticed   differences   in   the   way she   moves   and   runs   around   the   paddock   with   the   others.   Her   demeanour   has changed as well. I   am   sure   as   we   continue   to   use   our   Bowen   skills   from   the   course   ,   further improvements will be achieved. Thank you again!!!   Rochelle Nicol -  Melbourne, Victoria
It    is    now    6    weeks    since    stating    on    the    homeopathic    remedies    and    the lymphatic treatment  that you gave Raven . Physically   he   has   not   come   out   in   any   more   of   the   cysts   on   his   neck   or   any where   else   that   I   have   noticed,   which   is   a   hugh   improvement.   We   also   do   not have   any   sign   of   hoof   issues,   abscesses   in   particular   which   has   also   been   part of the chronic infections he seemed to always get. He   does   seem   to   be      brighter   in   himself   and   interested   in   what   is   going   on around   him   a   bit   more   than   he   has   been   lately.   Certainly   interested   in   his feed which he has not been in the past. I   am   happy   with   his   progress   so   far.   He   seems   to   be   going   in   the   right direction. Thanks for all your help. Barbara Lewry - Appin, NSW
Babycakes the hormonal mare Prior   to   contacting   Helen   I   had   taken   my   horse,   Babycakes   to   the   vets   several   times   ,   scanned,   blood   checks,   ultra   sounds due   to   her   persistent   hormonal   attitude.   She   would   go   from   stallion   like   behaviour   to      where   she   was   so   hormonal   she would   literally   rape   the   fence   ,   her   stable   wall   anything   that   stood   solid   she   would   thrash   up   against   them   and   bang   her hips.   Her   overall   behaviour   was   all   over   the   place   ,   I   had   also   noticed   she   had   a   large   lump   in   the   throat   which   became larger   when   she   was   in   season.   Vets   scoped   her   and   said   nothing   was   wrong   and   all   tests   undertaken   came   back   normal other than her being an overly hormonal mare. It   was   recommended   I   put   her   on   Regumate,   in   order   to   help   ,   however   I   elected   not   to   as   I   was   concerned   of   possible   side effects.   I   tried   Chase   Berry   and   whilst   it   gave   some   help   it   was   short   lived   and   I   kept   looking   for   alternate   treatments   as   I knew   Babycakes   was   a   good   girl   but   just   needed   help   to   deal   with   her   hormonal   issues.   It   should   also   be   noted   that throughout all of this I was unable to ride her due to her unpredictable behaviour. It   was   thanks   to   a   dear   friend   who   put   me   into   contact   with   Helen   that   Babycakes   life   has   turned   around.   During   our introduction   when   I   described   Babycakes      Helen   was   the   first   person   who   picked   up   on   the   lump   in   the   throat,   everyone else said it was nothing to worry about and there was no correlation with her hormonal issues, how wrong they were. Helen   sent   me   our   homeopathic   remedies,   particularly   Lachesis   in   different   potencies.   The   initial   dosage   was   given   over   a course   of   five   days,   first   thing   in   the   morning   and   always   prior   to   food.   I   noticed   slight   changes   in   behaviour   and   she   did appear   to   be   more   settled.   Coming   into   season   she   reverted   back   to   her   old   self      ,   thrashing   against   all   and   sundry   , following   Helen’sr   instruction   I   gave   her   the   stronger   dosage,   which   worked   a   treat.   This   was   the   first   time   Babycakes   was able   to   stay   in   her   stable   of   a   night   whilst   in   season   and   not   thrash   the   wall.   With   the   stronger   dosage   I   still   give   her   one dose   the   first   day   she   comes   into   season   and   that   is   all   that   is   needed   to   reduce   her   symptoms.   With   Helens   help   I   have been   able   to   get   Babycakes   to   the   trainers,   where   she   spent   four   weeks   and   did   not   put   a   foot   wrong.   I   now   have   her   at home and we are working towards  getting out and competing in the dressage arena.. I can not thank Helen enough for all she did for us, Babycakes is going from strength to strength. Bronwyn Macrae - Richmond, NSW

Thanks   Helen   for   your ongoing support with Bambie”  Theresa -  Kemps Creek, NSW
just   wanted   to   write   and   thank   you   again   for   running   a great   Module   1   in   Bowen   last   weekend   in   Sydney.
It   is   now   6   weeks   since   starting   on   the   homeopathic remedies   and   the   lymphatic   treatment   that   you   gave Raven.
